The Castellini family is an ancient family that has persistently handed down its history and traditions from one generation to the next. With a strong background in Italy, specifically in Milan, the family has played a significant role in the textile industry, the entrepreneurial class and in the world of horse riding, placing continued importance on beauty and family unity. Looking back five generations, we find Nicostrato who, in 1866, took part in Garibaldi's epic adventures, mortally injuring himself and leaving behind his wife and five children. Clateo (1858-1935), the bold and reliable firstborn son, began work as an engineer in his uncle's company immediately after graduation, demonstrating his admirable entrepreneurial skills. He additionally founded a family bank and purchased shares from different companies, including Lanificio Rossi and Richard Ginori. Clateo passed on the Castellini heritage to his son Nico (1881-1960), also a sharp-witted entrepreneur, and later to Antonio and Vittorio, sons from his marriage with Clelia Baldissera. Antonio (1909-1991) entered the world of banking while Vittorio (1910-1992) emerged in the textile industry to produce first class fabrics, resulting in the development of two vital family branches. Piero Castellini Baldissera, son of Antonio Castellini Baldissera and Luisa Portaluppi who is the daughter of the renown Milanese architect Piero Portaluppi, dedicated himself to the architecture and design of C&C Milano. And it is Emanuele who, inheriting the textile tradition from his father Vittorio, together with his cousin, made the Castellini passion for the most prestigious linen a reality at C&C Milano.
